Kent is a certified PE in PA and KY with more than 30 years of engineering and project management experience. He specializes in environmental engineering; CCR landfill and impoundment siting, design, permitting, closure, and construction monitoring; geotechnical engineering applications and design; and beneficial use of CCBs.
John Klamut, PE, CFM, MS
John Klamut, PE, CFM, MSEngineering Director
John has more than 23 years of experience specializing in the permitting, design, and construction of solid waste management facilities and impoundments. He is a Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) and a licensed PE in WV, IN, PA, VA, KY, NM, and AZ. John has managed projects for CCR units in PA, IN, WV, and VA that have involved annual inspections, operational development plans, CCR rule and state permit compliance, new bottom liner/cell design, closure design, CQA services, and groundwater monitoring.
Charles Straley, PE, PLS, MS
Charles Straley, PE, PLS, MSEngineering Director
Charles specializes in civil engineering with an emphasis on geotechnical engineering and has more than 35 years of experience working as a Professional Engineer in WV, KY, OH, IN, and VA. His experience includes acting as Quality Assurance Officer for numerous CCR landfill construction projects as well as performing CCR Rule annual evaluations of impoundments and landfills.
Arica DiTullio, PE, MS
Arica DiTullio, PE, MSSenior Engineering Manager
Arica manages GAI’s power generation environmental engineering division. She draws on her multidisciplinary skillset to lead power plant wastewater treatment and conveyance projects and decommissioning/reclamation efforts. Arica is well versed in navigating federal, state, and local permitting programs for CCRs and power plants.

Ed is a licensed Professional Geologist with more than 35 years of experience designing and implementing groundwater monitoring programs for former industrial sites, waste disposal facilities, and CCR landfills and impoundments. He specializes in groundwater evaluations, remediation, contaminant fate and transport evaluations, groundwater flow modeling, and statistical evaluation of groundwater data.

Zach is a licensed Professional Engineer in Kentucky with more than 13 years of engineering experience. He has demonstrated ability in in the management of large multidisciplinary projects with several phases as well as small-scale projects with limited budgets and short schedules. He specializes in working with clients to evaluate pending or revised CCR regulations and develops means to assess compliance.

Kevin is a licensed Professional Engineer (PA, KY) with more than 15 years of engineering experience. He specializes in management of multidiscipline large-scale projects, civil site design, permitting, conceptual and construction level design of CCR landfills, construction quality control/quality assurance, Owner’s Engineer support services, and CCR Rule compliance.
Ron Harris, PE
Ron Harris, PEProject Manager
Ron is a licensed Professional Engineer in PA, WV, and VA with more than 25 years of engineering experience. He specializes in CCR landfill siting, design, and permitting; dam and impoundment inspections; landslide remediation and stability analyses; design of shallow and deep foundations; geological/geotechnical investigations; site grading; and transmission line foundation design. Ron has experience in construction engineering and inspection, plan preparation, quantity take-offs, cost estimating, and proposal and report writing.
James Shields, PE
James Shields, PEEngineering Manager
Mr. Shields is an Engineering Manager with over 20 years of experience specializing in construction management including on-site inspection and oversight, CCR landfill permitting, critical path method scheduling, cost estimating, constructability review, and construction support services. His design experience includes CCR and industrial landfills and liner systems, site development, wind farm civil design, storm water systems, water systems, pipelines, commercial buildings, roads, bridges, and sewer systems.
Leigh Rounce, EIT, MS
Leigh Rounce, EIT, MSSenior Project EIT
Leigh has more than 5 years of experience with environmental compliance and permitting at coal-fired generating stations and CCR landfills. She follows the ever-changing regulatory landscape for the federal CCR and Effluent Limitation Guidelines (ELG) Rules and uses her knowledge to help clients develop plans for compliance. She supports projects related to the design, construction, closure, and evaluation of CCR units and is experienced in conducting the associated federal, state, and local permitting.
